See Your New Landscape Before It’s Built

Case Study: Adding more outdoor living space with creative hardscape design.

The homeowners had hired us to do a landscape plan when they first moved into their brand new home 30 years ago. The family called us back recently to do landscape renovations. They still had the original blueprint of the planting plan that we had drawn in pencil, and found us again through a Google search.
We all walked the property and discussed their current needs: More patio space below the existing deck, removing most of the existing shrubbery to allow for a fence, and creating a cozy outdoor retreat for family gatherings in the evening.
I explained that I was now using 3-D computer design program (Viz Terra by Structure Studios) and there would be a fee to input the property into the computer and create a new design. The homeowners questioned if this would really be necessary, but were glad they went with with our current design process.

Here is the Google review they wrote about the experience:

We strive to add creative details to each project; in this case, rounded corners on the seating wall. At the time, quality flagstone was difficult to find.  I was at the stone yard when a new shipment of clear, light tan flagstone arrived, and I tagged it right away.
The computer program makes it easy to make changes to the design. I showed how the patio can furnished, and the homeowners bought the same type of furniture shown on the plan. The design went through about five revisions, adding elements such as lighting, a fountain, changing an arbor for an umbrella, and changing the type of stone, as we explored the possibilities
